Location Description
Providence Park Hospital is a brand new state of the art hospital located in Novi Michigan just off I-96 and Beck Road at exit 160. The hospital has all private rooms and was built with patient safety and quality as the highest priority. Patient satisfaction at Providence Park currently exceeds all targets and expectations.
Clinical services at Providence Park Hospital include: Orthopedic Surgery including hip and joint replacement, general surgery; Neurosciences including neurosurgery; Women''s and Pediatric services, and a wide range of other medical and surgical specialties. Providence Park also boasts a large and convenient outpatient center which houses outpatient surgery, endoscopy services, laboratory, imaging, and a sleep center as well as many physician subspecialties.
Department Description
This 13-bed telemetry unit provides specialized care to patients of varying cardiac diagnoses, including post AMI, CHF, unstable angina and post PTCA/Stent. Treatment includes continuous cardiac monitoring, treatment of arrhythmias, temporary and permanent pacing, and pulmonary support. A focus on relationship-based care combined with advanced medical surgical nursing will allow us to care for the changing needs of these patients throughout their stay.
Job Summary
Under general supervision and utilizing the nursing process, plans, implements, and evaluates professional nursing services to meet the needs of patients on a nursing unit or specialty area. Provides leadership to professional and auxiliary nursing personnel.
Required:
Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Michigan Board of Nursing.
Minimum of 6 months recent staff nurse experience.
Cardiac Monitoring experience
ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire date.
Excellent customer services skills.
Preferred:
Current ACLS certification
One year of recent acute care experience
