Position Overview Novelis North America's Automotive team is looking for a Sales Lead, reporting to the Senior Sales Manager, Battery Electric Vehicles. This role is in Novi Michigan. The Sales Lead will support the NA Automotive commercial team as commercial sales grow, and consequently the volume of developmental and product qualification material increases. The role will focus on maximizing the Auto business growth and profitability ensuring Novelis has a seamless supply chain with the account. It is critical for the role to keep good relationships with key accounts and work collaboratively with them to identify win win opportunities. Responsibilities Help manage auto OEM Program Approval to SOP launch in support of the program manager Coordinate with the OEM and internal mills to determine production schedule and deliverables Compile regular order status updates for internal review, and for communication with the North American Auto OEM's i.e. Ford, Chrysler, General Motors etc. Program launch focus and program re-qualification focus with the program manager Coordinate change request, review feasibility, communicate results to the customer, track open issues, and manage KPI. Develop quotation including piece, tooling, and capital costs with the Sr. Sales Manger Manage material qualification test plan Attend customer specific APQP Review meetings with customers to execute a timely move to new production site, while also resolving quality, delivery and commercial issues with existing customers Work closely with Quality Engineers to provide adequate and timely support for customers Must coordinate with the CSR for the OEM account Be involved in Die try out material process, including tracking samples and delivering to the lab Initiate tolling orders with tolling coordinators on preproduction material Follow-up with tolling coordinators on schedules, delivery & samples BEV account customer portals data base maintenance Maintain key account managers informed Work with Quality on verifying and maintain current customer supplied documents are stored on sharepoint Customer Document review process (comparable to Sheet 3, 2006 Forms, ERMA PO's for the respective accounts) Responsibilities & Qualifications Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Business, or other analytical field, and / or equivalent experience. Minimum 5-7 years experience in Manufacturing company or production processes. Experience with Automotive or Aluminum industry, preferred. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, planning and scheduling, finance and budgeting, quality systems and metallurgy. Prefer eight to ten years of experience in a large complex manufacturing environment, preferably aluminum, casting, rolling and / or recycling. Stamping and Blanking knowledge/background preferred. Along with knowledge of aluminum manufacturing process. Working understanding and practical application with aluminum alloys preferred In-depth knowledge of manufacturing process and business policy and practices preferred Excellent communication (oral and written) skills; ability to communicate, lead, and drive performance and change with all levels in the organization Desire to take initiative and develop a pro-active relationship with internal and external customers and suppliers. Proven record of success and expanded responsibility within a growing and complex organization Must be flexible and able to operate in a fast-paced environment Matrix organization experience Ability to organize and prioritize workload; must be able to manage multiple tasks at once without sacrificing attention to detail SAP Experience Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel. Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Sales Engineering, SalesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
