Role Summary Support strategic business plan goals through the elimination of waste and the implementation of efficient and effective material control systems and logistics processes throughout Magna Seating Divisions, including route optimization and synergies across North America Key Responsibilities o Work with and across existing Divisions to optimize logistics costs for the benefit of Magna overall, including engineering strategies, optimization and quoting. o Work with NBD team on global quote activity related to materials and logistics assumptions. o Develop and implement forecasting, planning and logistic tools. o Define annual cost savings targets and roadmap across divisions through initiatives and special projects. o Support divisions with World Class and Advanced Manufacturing Solutions o Work with divisions to engineer/optimize and improve transportation lanes. Identify synergies with other Magna groups o Cross divisional benchmarking/MLE o Standardize costs (fuel surcharges etc) & reporting methodology o Support plants to determine accurate cost vs price analysis and identify margin improvements o Seek out and vet new logistics providers o Act as liaison with purchasing and divisional team to communicate forecast, mitigate and prevent supply chain risks o Liaison with division and compliance managers, optimize duty costs and recovery (drawback opportunities) o Maintain North America KPI metrics related to transportation costs and cost reduction o Assist with special projects wherever specialist materials and logistics assistance is required. o Supports Internal / External Audit efforts regarding ISO 9001:
2015, IATF 16949 Certification for remote site location (Group Office). o Supports the requirements as detailed in Standard Operating Procedure 8000 (Quality Management System). Key Qualifications/Requirements o Bachelor's Degree (or bachelor's equivalency) in Supply Chain Management or combination of equivalent education and Materials/Business experience. o Minimum 10 years' experience in an OEM or Tier One Supplier Materials/Logistics environment (additional experience is required if applicant does not have a bachelor's degree) at least 5 year's supervisory experience. o Requires superior organizational and managerial skills to ensure efficient and effective operation of all projects. o Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be a self-starting problem solver with proven leadership qualities. o Demonstrated successful performance with independent problem solving, presentations, leadership, and coordinating and completing multiple tasks within and across departments to meet changing deadlines. o Proficient skills utilizing word processing, spreadsheet, project management, and database applications.
Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
Supply Chain & LogisticsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
