Summary:
Analyze electronic products with the objective of determining root cause of failure and support the determination of corrective actions. Support problem solving functions including but not limited to product analysis, documentation, testing, follow up and some customer communications. Provide technical assistance to warranty analysis team members. Support customer analysis activities such as customer warranty parts analysis. Develop and implement analysis work instructions. Support preparation of monthly customer quality reports. Perform product reliability tests and evaluations. Support development, fabrication and maintenance of test equipment & including calibration program. This includes tracking, documenting and updating of appropriate metrics and/or problem solving reporting systems. Other duties as assigned to support the QA function. Conduct technical analysis on products related to internal/external reported concerns in support of problem solving processes
Responsibilities:
-Perform hands on electronics product analysis to isolate failure mode and potential cause(s)
-Provide technical assistance to warranty analysis team members.
-Perform product analysis in accordance with customer and internal requirements
-Provide technical reports and/or data analysis in accordance with customer and internal requirements.
-Support customer analysis activities such as customer warranty parts analysis.
-Develop and implement analysis work instructions.
-Support customer line patrols and or containment/sorting as required.
-Support preparation of monthly customer quality reports.
-Perform product reliability tests and evaluations.
-Support development, fabrication and maintenance of test equipment & including calibration program.
-Other duties as assigned to support the QA function.
-Conduct electronics and analysis per established processes to component level failure.
-Determine root cause(s) potential and real - including verification via ABA analysis and other methods.
-Support follow up of root cause(s) with appropriate source (manufacturing, parts supplier, design, etc.) to identify countermeasure.
-Complete detailed analysis reports with analysis results, root cause(s), countermeasures and enters them into the company analysis data base.
-Work directly with engineering community to support analysis, root cause and countermeasure determination.
-Support customer analysis and reporting process.
-Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key program and manufacturing team members.
-Attend meetings (as requested) and report status of analysis activities issues to appropriate entities.
-Communication of product analysis status, plans and data to appropriate entities.
-Provide analysis information appropriate entities via email and applicable on line reporting systems.

Qualifications:

-Technical (bachelors or associates) college degree or equivalent required. Minimum of 2-4 years technical experience in an automotive related industry.
-Strong coordination and communication skills.
-Experience in successfully handling technical analysis.
-Comprehensive knowledge and experience with technical specifications, hands on electronic analysis activities and ability to establish and follow appropriate analysis processes.
-Ability to participate in analytical problem solving using 5 Why's, Cause/Effect Diagrams, 8D, 5 Phase, etc.
-Ability to analyze electronic products with the objective of determining root cause of failure and support the determination of corrective actions.
-Experience with automotive and electronic vehicle control systems desirable.
-Understand requirements and applicability of QS-9000 or TS 16949.
-Ability to read, analyze, and interpret automotive technical documents. Ability to respond effectively to customer complaints. Ability to write technical information industry standard language and terminology. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on product analysis and or containment results to various internal or external audiences.
-Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as basic probability and statistics, and fundamentals of plane and solid -geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations as it relates to electronic analysis.
-Ability to interpret and utilize technical information and deal with a variety of variables in situations related to duties. -Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
-To perform this job successfully, an individual must have some knowledge and minimal proficiency in Word Processing software, Spreadsheet software and databases.
-Certification in electronic or electro mechanical technical disciplines a plus.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
